To make sure no infections or disease goes around rat shows its best to make sure all of your rats even those your not taking are i perfct health and have to infection, mites, fleas, mange or any other catching diseases you need to check incase you take sick rats t the show and other rats get infected without realising.
Any rat that you take to a show it is advised to bath them and clean them up so they look there best and don't smell of what some rats may smell of.
Make sure the bath isn't to deep (up to ther chest or lower) and not hot just warm.
You can bath them with some shampoo for small animals or rats shampoo found on some websites.
after the rats are bathed make sure your in a heated room and dry each rat straight after their bath so they dont get cold.
You can clean there tails easier when its wet use a toothbrush very lightyl or finger and the dirt comes of in parts(you may think its the rats skin but it is dirt) don't do it to hard you can cut there tail.
some people also babywhipe their rats to smell nicer just when they arive to the show incase theyhave been lay in poop or wee.
Food/Water in a showThe rats are not allowed any water bottles attatched to the tanks but you can take fresgh watery fruit and veg for them so they stay okay.
